Lion’s Gate Bridge (Thoughts of Vancouver)

Lion’s Gate Bridge completed construction, and opened to the public in 1938. When I think of Vancouver I think of this bridge almost immediately. Along with many other things of course. This bridge and view is probably familiar, it’s not an uncommon place for a photo. I liked it in this moment because of the day, the hike through Stanley Park we had planned ahead. It’s not only an entry to a city, it’s an entry to a whole world. Vancouver is so far removed from the rest of the country, they do their own thing and vibe to their own sense of what is. While cultural diversity is synonymous with Toronto, the idea of the diversity of the actual individuals lends itself to Vancouver even better.
